Dr.  Haldeman is a foremost international authority on the management of spinal pain. He has served as Chair of the World Federation of Chiropractic’s Research Council since it was established in 1988 and is an international ambassador for the Bone and Joint Decade 2000-2010.

Dr. Haldeman, who is Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of California at Irvine, obtained his chiropractic degree at Palmer College (1964), his PhD in Neurophysiology at the University of British Columbia (1973), his medical degree at the University of British Columbia (1976) and completed his neurology residency in the Department of Neurology, University of California, Irvine (1977 – 1980). He is widely published in the fields of neurology and chiropractic.

He recently served as President of the Bone and Joint Decade 2000-2010 Task force on Neck Pain and its Associated Disorders, and international multidisciplinary expert panel credited with redefining the management of neck pain with its report published in Spine and the European Spine Journal in 2008. Dr.Haldeman served as President of the North American Spine Society from 1988 – 1989 and President of the American Back Society from 2003 – 2008.
