
GIAN JOERGER (Europe)
Gian Joerger DC, MBA represents the European region on the Board of the WFC
Gian was born and raised in Switzerland. After having studied biology at undergraduate level, he attended Northwestern Health Sciences University, qualifying as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 1991. He has worked in continuous private practice since this time, initially in the USA and since 1993, in Switzerland. Since 1995 he has owned and administered a multi-doctor office in the town of Chur with his partner, Rosemary Oman.
Attaining an international Executive Masters in Business Administration from St Gallen University, Switzerland. He has a Fellowship in Applied Spinal Biomechanical Engineering and undertook training as a medical expert with Swiss Insurance Medicine in Berne.
Gian has served extensively on the national chiropractic association of Swiss chiropractors, ChiroSuisse, including as President and CEO (2009-2015). He is a member of the Swiss Academy of Chiropractic and holds a position on its postgraduate teaching faculty.
As ChiroSuisse President, Gian held a seat on the General Council of the European Chiropractors Union between 2009 and 2015.
Gian is multilingual, German and Rumantsch being his mother tongues with English, French and Italian being spoken fluently.
Gian won gold and silver medals in the 2019 World Masters cross-country skiing championships. He is also a keen downhill skier, waterskiier, runner, cyclist and diver. He is an active member of the Round Table in his home town of Chur in Switzerland and served as its president in 2001.
