Laurie Tassell an elected Board member representing the Pacific Region.  

Laurie graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 1985 having previously worked as a high school teacher in Western Australia. He was in private practice for over 30 years.

Laurie has held a number of leadership positions, including president and interim chief executive of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia (now the Australian Chiropractors’ Association). He is the recipient of numerous awards from his peers.

During his career, Laurie has worked with some of the world’s poorest people in refugee camps and slums in Thailand and Cambodia. He has a particular interest in chiropractors respecting their differences and diversity.

Laurie served on the Executive Committee of the WFC from 2016-2018, including one year as President.
