Ricardo Fujikawa, MD, DC

Ricardo Fujikawa graduated from Marilia School of Medicine in 1993, in Marilia, Brazil. After obtaining his degree in Medicine, he completed his residency in two specialties: Internal Medicine and Hematology. He graduated as Doctor of Chiropractic (Magna Cum Laude) in 2001, being the recipient of the Virgil Strang Philosophy Award, the Clinic Excellence Award, and the John Connolly Memorial Award (most outstanding graduate).

Fujikawa remained at Palmer College as faculty becoming involved with the education exchange agreement between the Palmer College of Chiropractic and Feevale University (Brazil) to develop a chiropractic curriculum for a 5-year program to be offered in Brazil. He served as liaison to that program and in 2002, he moved to Novo Hamburgo and served as the clinic coordinator at Feevale University - College of Chiropractic until 2007. During that time, Fujikawa was elected president of the Brazilian Chiropractic Association and council representative of the Latin America Region in the World Federation of Chiropractic Council for two terms. He was involved in preparing the documentation for the regulation of the chiropractic profession in Brazil, and also participated in the WHO Consultation on Chiropractic that produced the WHO Guidelines on Basic Training and Safety in Chiropractic in 2005.

In 2008, Fujikawa moved to Madrid, Spain, to serve as the head of the first chiropractic college in Spain at San Lorenzo de El Escorial, the Madrid College of Chiropractic at the Royal University Center Escorial Maria Cristina.

Fujikawa is certified in the Activator Methods, participating as lecturer in post-graduate studies worldwide.
