Introducing the International Test of Competence (ITC)

The World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) is proud to introduce the International Test of Competence (ITC) - a brand-new assessment tool designed to evaluate the knowledge, clinical reasoning, and professional competencies of chiropractors seeking to practice in jurisdictions that currently do not benefit from formal regulation.

Developed in collaboration with leading experts in chiropractic education and regulation, the ITC serves as a standardized benchmark to ensure that practitioners meet essential standards of safety, ethics, and evidence-based care. The test is intended for national associations of chiropractors to adopt as a means of assessing competence of internationally trained chiropractors in alignment with global best practices.

By establishing a fair and rigorous evaluation process, the ITC supports the integrity of national associations of chiropractors, enhances public confidence in chiropractic care, and promotes mobility within the profession.
