Andrew Lawrence

Dr Lawrence served a first term of office as President of the Australian Chiropractors Association between 1986 and 1990 during which time the proposal to establish a World Federation was first discussed at the World Chiropractic Congress held in 1988 in Sydney. During this time he was also instrumental in initiating amalgamation negotiations between the ACA and the UCAA (United Chiropractors Association of Australasia) which resulted in the creation of the CAA (Chiropractors' Association of Australia) in December 1990.
Dr Lawrence served as a director and then as the President of the CAA from 2001 to 2005.
More recently he served a term as President of the Australian Chiropractic Association from 2014-2018, where he presided over an historic restructuring of the association from a federation to an Australia wide membership organization which it continues to be today.
He has been awarded a Life Membership of the ACA for his services to the ACA and to Chiropractic in Australia and more recently he has been awarded an Order of Australia Medal for his services to the Chiropractic profession in Australia.
