More than 1100 doctors of chiropractic and students from 38 countries were present for the World Federation of Chiropractic’s 10th Biennial Congress in Montreal, Quebec, Canada April 30 – May 2, hosted by the Canadian Chiropractic Association. This celebration of chiropractic began with an inspirational address from Canada’s 2008 Athlete of the Year Chantal Petitclerc who opened the event’s Academic Program including standing room only plenary sessions, research programs and technique workshops. Montreal’s setting created a socially dynamic environment of collaboration and leadership, linking numerous satellite meetings to the Congress, including the Association of Chiropractic Colleges, CCE International, the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) and representatives of licensing boards worldwide.
A Celebration of the Past, Present and Future of Chiropractic was the title and theme of the World Federation of Chiropractic’s 9th Biennial Congress and the European Chiropractic Union’s 75th Anniversary Convention, hosted by the APQ, in Vilamoura, Portugal, May 15-19, 2007 – and it was the profession’s brightest celebration ever held in Europe, with almost 800 chiropractors and 1,000 total registrants attending. Additional incorporated meetings included WFC and FCER’s International Conference on Chiropractic Research, the Association for the History of Chiropractic’s Annual Convention, and a major Sports Chiropractic Forum sponsored by Parker College of Chiropractic.
